USAID Ubora Mashinani program was introduced to county stakeholders, the county government , other USAID program implementing partners , and members of the Isiolo Community Development Trust(ICDT) at a work plan development co-creation workshop that also served as a program inception meeting. This was done by KCDF in collaboration with ICDT. The primary goal of the workshop , which was held in El- Boran Resort on April 25 and 24, 2024, was to get participants involved in co- creating and ICDT work plan for the program’s first phase , which ends on September 30, 2024.
The workshop was graced by Isiolo County Deputy Governor H.E Dr.James Lowasa who officially opened the meeting .
The ICDT workplan co- creation workshop had the following objectives :
1. To introduce the USAID Ubora Mashinani Program to Isiolo County Stakeholders, the Local Development Organisation, its governing organs and membership , Isiolo County Government , USAID implementing partners , and private sector players .
2. To share program vision , goal, and theory of change (TOC) , and encourage the adaptation of the TOC at the county level .
3. To develop a shared understanding of expected results and how these results will be achieved and measured .
4. To co-create the Isiolo Community Development Trust (ICDT) work plan to ensure it aligns with the LDO’s specific needs , challenges , and aspiration .
